EXAMS OVER

Hello Guys Wats up!

              EXAMS ARE OVER AND I AM BACK

Today was our last exam MTH107 Elementary Mathematics For Engineers.

Now I will tell you about the Examination System in LPU.

In every semester we are having two exams: 1.Mid Term ( in the month of September)

                                                                        2. End term( in December)

and in between there are Assignments, Term Papers, CA( continuous assessment) and very important attendance, it carries 5 marks( above 95% attendance ). 

LPU maintain a very strict atmosphere during the exam time( VERY STRICT ).

1. Students cannot carry mobile phones in the exam hall. Not even in switch off mode.

2.You are not allowed to carry any kind of chits, papers, etc.

3. No one is allowed to write in the question paper, not even a tick also. You will have to give away everything to the invigilator after you finish your exam question paper, answer paper, rough sheets.

3. Every one should reach the exam hall on time, if someone is 5 minutes late then he/she will not be allowed to sit in the hall. But if you are having a proper reason they will allow you.

Now, In case of 1, 2 and 3 if you are caught then they file an UMC( Using Unfair Means) case against you and your scholarship will be cancelled, and you will have a backlog in your hand means you will have to start the semester again from the beginning. 

In the question paper is not at all hard or lengthy the thing is that if you study 3 hours a day and follow your class you will definitely get good marks.

EXAMS ARE OVER!.......and everybody is going home almost 80% of them. 

                                              

                                    We are having a break for 8 days. Now I am alone most of my friends went home and some of them are still here with me. In my state people are celebrating Durga Puja( a festival) which comes only once in a year. I feel very sad because this will be the first time in my life I am missing Durga Puja. But what to do I don't have any option, I will have to stay.

I was unable to go home because 1. No train tickets available 2. flight fares too high.

So today I am free and just spending time writing in my blog. 

I will write more about LPU in these 8 days and tell you people more about LPU.

What Happened? 

                                 Today I was having my MEC103 practical test(written). So I clicked some pictures of the Lab Manual in my phone and went inside the classroom. Our teacher gave us two answer sheets and the questions. After going through the questions I was very happy because i knew some of them and the rest was in my phone. So after attempting the first and second question I took out my phone and kept t it near my answer sheets.

                                    

                                     Just at that point of time the lab assistant came and took my phone. He showed it to our teacher. Teacher was very angry, my whole body became cold. He cancelled my test and gave a ZERO. The war was not over he took my phone and saw all my pictures, then the most dangerous part he called my father and told him everything. Oh my God he called my father, I know my parents the will be very angry after getting this news. 

  Guys you people just cant imagine what was my condition at that point of time. 

                                                                         But I was not cheating,...................... I..........just........ wanted to cheat. But my bad luck I was caught red handed. 

  Then my teacher called me an told that if you would have done the same thing in out Mid Term Exam then the teacher would have filed a case against you and you will be detained and may be a backlog also. You have done in my class its okay, i am giving you a chance. Don't ever think of doing this again. Give your rest of the exams nicely. 

                                                       Then I was thinking how to convince my parents. My friend Abhishek told me to tell the truth and not to make up stories. He told that this is college life and many things will happen here, you have no choice you will have to face them. 

I came back to my room thinking about the whole thing again and again., I came to my room and told everything to my room mate. Then my room mate(Shikar Goel) also encouraged me and told me that i should talk with my parents and settle the matter. But it was impossible for me to talk with them, i was very very nervous and afraid. Then he talked to my father and explained him the whole thing, at last my father was convinced and then i talked with my mother, i told her the whole thing in detail, in the beginning she was very angry but at last she was also convinced and she told me that i should take care of this things in the future.

Always remember guys "Honesty Is The Best Policy"... in the beginning you will face some problem but at last you will be happy.......very very happy and relieved. Just now at this point of time i can say that i feeling relieved and happy.

I hope that none of my friends will ever face this kind of situation!

Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Afzal Khan at LPU

Hello Guys,

Yesterday Sonam Kapoor along with Fawad Afzal Khan  visited LPU regarding the promotion of her film "KHOOBSURAT" at 11:30a.m. She was looking very stunning and gorgeous.

Students were very excited to see her on stage. In the picture you see the huge crowd gathering, hope to see these crowd in the theaters also and  i also hope that the film will be a hit.

              Now a days I am busy with my studies because Mid Term exam is knocking on the door. Its starting from 25th of this month.

  Lets go to Shri Baldev Raj Mittal Hospital

 This hospital provides 24 hour service. There are 8 to 10 doctors and 4 to 5 visiting doctors. There is also 24 hour ambulance facility available. From your hostel room you can call the ambulance, during any medical emergency and the ambulance will be there in no time. The hospital provides great help and support to the students.

 In the Hospital you will a Medical Store, and this store also provides 24 hour service. You can go there and buy medicines any time.
In this medical store you can also find coffee,tea.sandwiches,cold drinks, chips, and many more edible things.

About the Hostel

Hello World!

Today I am going to talk about Lovely Professional University's HOSTELS.

In LPU there are 7 boys hostels( BH-1, BH-2,BH-3,BH-4,BH-5,BH-6,BH-7) and 6 girls hostels(GH-1,GH-2,GH-3,GH-4,GH-5,GH-7). Every hostel is having its own Mess Facility.
There is Hi- Tech security system installed in every hostel, its is not possible to enter the hostel without ID Card and fingerprints. 

TURN STILE GATES

There are ATM facility available in every hostel, so it becomes easy for the students to withdraw money easily. They don't have to go and search for ATM's. In every hostel there are two to three ATM's available.Some of the ATM's are available for 24 hrs and some for 12 to 16 hrs.

But sometimes.....if you are unlucky. This may happen!

Sometimes it happens but most of the time it works.

Now we will be talking about the LIFT SERVICE

First of all let's look at some pictures

Sometimes its very difficult for us to clime the stairs, after coming from the class......we are very tired...... and that time we have to climb stairs up to 7th,8th,9th,10th floor. 

These lifts remain functional only for a limited period of time.

But its okay! Physical Exercise is good for health.

Note- Lift service is available only for 6th,7th,8th.9th.and 10th floor.

Okay Lets Move on

   Let me tell tell you people more about the facilities provided in the hostels...............               

Now about Departmental Store.....There is a departmental store in every hostel, let me tell you guys you wont find this facility in any university in India. In the hostel the departmental store remains open from 8 AM to 5 AM. In the departmental store you can find copies,snacks,mattress, sport accessories,cold drinks, and many more things that  you need in your day to day life.

LPU's WiFi and Library

About WiFi                           

Right now i am sitting in LPU'S central library trying to connect WiFi....i am trying for the last 10 min.....its still not showing up....bekar network hai...but sometimes it works good and its really very fast.
Let me tell you guys about LPU'S WiFi network...
                                                                                 In LPU there are thousands of WiFi modems installed over the campus..its in the hostel, in every block,library, and many other places.
But there are some restrictions like the data limit is 4GB per week and in the hostel from 9AM to 5PM there is no WiFi available(except Sunday), some of the websites are blocked by the university, in some places the signal strength is very weak.

LPU's Central Library

Now lets talk about LPU'S central library. There are more than 100000 books in LPU's Central Library and its fully air conditioned. The AC remains active till 8PM. The libary remains open till 12 o'clock in the night
 Students visit the library for getting access to WiFi, to issue books for studying and some of them comes for having fun and spend some good time with friends.
In central library Honors students can issue books for a time period of 15 days,and the rest of the students can issue books only for 7 days.
In the library there is a i-mac lab(only for MCA and CSE(Hons.) students, there is a cyber cafe where students can surf the net for free.
In the library there are some books marked as reserved, and students are not allowed to issue that books. There are some books available in limited numbers which are marked RESERVED or TEXT BOOK. So it sometimes create problem for the students.........at that point of time students have to buy that particular book from the shop.

In LPU there is also DEPARTMENTAL libraries in every block. In departmental library  students can find books related to their field of study. Departmental libraries remains open from 9AM to 5PM so students can use the library only during class hours when they are having a free period or break.
Till today i haven't faced any problem with the Departmental Library.

Just Starting

Hey there, 

                 This is 2014 and its a new beginning!

          In this blog i am going to share my five years of journey in LPU with you people. 

  This is 2014 and i have just started my journey in LPU. Let me tell you people why i have chosen Lovely Professional University........it was in the month of MAY i was watching Aashiqui 2 in Set Max and suddenly i saw LPU'S ad! i became excited...mainly about the infrastructure i saw in the ad. After doing some research i found out that LPU'S fee structure is much less than any other university in India. LPU provides a huge range of scholarship for students.  LPU conducts their own entrance exam named LPUNEST. I got their helpline number from their website and then i called them and learnt about the asmission process and fees. In a couple of weeks my admission process was complete.If you people want to know more about admission go to www.lpu.in. 

I have taken admission in B.Tech Civil Enginering(Hons)-MBA(5 years integrated program). I was instructed by the admission officer to report on 2nd of August. So I left my hometown with my uncle on 28th July. From Agartala we took the flight for Kolkata. After arriving at Kolkata we went to Howrah railway station for there we took the train for New Delhi. I reached new delhi on 29th morning. 

Then in the evening i again took the train for Phagwara, we reached LPU at 9:30PM. The guards told me that if i go inside i will have to take the hostel that day itself, but at point of time i was not ready. I was very tired and uncomfortable so i decided to go with my uncle and find some hotel. On the way i told my uncle that we will stay in the hotel till 2nd August. We were having couple of days in our hand so we decided to go out on a tour and explore the beauty of Punjab. We visited many places like Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Wagah Border etc. 

LPU's campus  lies in an area of 600 acres, which makes LPU the biggest university in India.

 LPU has an amazing infrastructure with seven boys hostel and six girls hostel also there are apartments for faculties. LPU is like a city with every facility in it. The only thing i don't like is the food in the mess, sometime its good but most of the time its worst. LPU provides a 100% ragging free environment.There are CCTV cameras all around the campus which keeps on working 24 hours a day. In LPU there is diversity, students from different parts of the world take admission in LPU.

So today i end up here this is just the beginning, i keep on posting about what is happening inside.
